  • Coordinate project activities with clients, utility stakeholders, contractors, and other affected parties to support successful design and construction outcomes.
  • Support right-of-way, easement, permitting, and encroachment efforts in coordination with project stakeholders.
  • Develop technical documentation including calculations, reports, drawings, specifications, and design details.
  • Assist with project planning activities such as scheduling, permitting, design development, and construction documentation.
  • Ensure all work adheres to safety, quality, schedule, and budget expectations.
  • Identify technical or logistical issues early and recommend practical, cost-effective solutions.
  • Communicate project status, technical findings, and recommendations clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Conduct site visits and field observations as required and prepare associated field reports.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of design processes and project execution practices.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 5 years of professional experience in electric distribution design, including overhead and underground systems.
  • Active Professional Engineer (PE) license.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects with competing priorities while meeting schedule and budget objectives.
  • Experience working in a client-facing consulting environment with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proficiency with standard engineering and productivity software, including Microsoft Office and AutoCAD (experience with Civil 3D is beneficial).
  • Familiarity with project scheduling tools; experience with project management software is a plus.
  • Willingness to travel periodically (approximately 10%).
  • Ability to perform fieldwork, including navigating construction sites and working outdoors as needed.
